Mellow Down Easy is a three-piece rock group working from Nashville, Tennessee. The band released their first album, ''Splendid Ms. Maizie'', in 2001; and their second album, ''Brothers of the Left Hand Path'', was released 11 May 2005. The group had signed with Chromium Records of Liverpool, England, but in 2007 they signed with Nashville Noir Records.〔http://eventful.com/nashville/events/mellow-down-easy-cd-release-show-old-union-/E0-001-020183241-8〕 Mellow Down Easy is composed of singer–songwriter and guitarist, Andrew Adkins; singer and bass guitarist, Daryl Dasher; and drummer, Rodney Russell. April 2009 they released their much anticipated album, "Cosmisutra" to rave reviews. In 2010 the group disbanded acrimoniously. Daryl released a solo album "Long Road Now", produced by former Waylon Jennings guitarist Jigger Bridges. "Long Road Now" also featured long time Jennings drummer/producer Richie Albright on drums. Adkins former the band Lions For Real which was signed to actor Ryan Gosling indie record label Werewolf Heart Records. Ryan co-owns the label with L.A.-based producer/guitarist Timmy "The Terror" Andrerson (Ima Robot). Adkins disbanded the group after their debut EP "Heathens" was released. In 2012 Dasher released "Great Big Sky" which showed a maturity in writing and broader range of styles. 2014 saw the release of Andrew Adkins' "The Colored Parade" which spawned the indie rock hit "I'm Indestructible".
